Bill overview
This bill, the Tribal Conservation Priorities Inclusion Act, amends the Food Security Act of 1985 to allow Indian tribes to identify priority resource concerns on their lands for federal conservation programs. Currently, these concerns are determined at the state or local level. The bill expands the definition of ‘priority resource concern’ to include areas within tribal lands, strengthening tribal involvement in conservation efforts. It also makes some technical corrections to the Food Security Act.
