Bill overview
The AI Labeling Act of 2023 aims to increase transparency for consumers regarding content created by artificial intelligence. It requires AI-generated images, videos, audio, and text to be clearly labeled as such, including information about the tool used and the date/time of creation. The bill also establishes a working group to develop technical standards for detecting AI-generated content and directs the Federal Trade Commission to enforce these labeling requirements.
