Bill overview
This bill establishes and funds the Iranian Sanctions Enforcement Fund (ISEF) to support the enforcement of U.S. sanctions against Iran and its proxies. The fund will be used to cover expenses related to seizing and forfeiting assets, paying for investigative and legal costs, and providing compensation to informants. It also codifies the creation of the Export Enforcement Coordination Center to enhance collaboration among federal agencies in combating export control violations. The bill initially authorizes $150 million for the fund, with proceeds from seized assets to be transferred back to the Treasury after other obligations are met.
