Bill overview
This bill extends the timeframe in which small businesses receive double credit for contracts with businesses in Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories. Currently, this double credit only applied for a limited time after the law’s enactment. The bill changes the period for which this double credit applies, increasing it to three years after the bill’s passage, with a 90-day initial period. This aims to encourage greater contracting opportunities between small businesses and businesses in these areas.
