Bill overview
This bill, the Know Your Polling Place Act, aims to improve voter notification when their assigned polling location changes. It requires states to inform registered voters at least 7 days before an election if they’ve been reassigned to a different polling place. If a change occurs less than 7 days before an election, states must make reasonable efforts to allow voters to cast their ballots at their previously assigned location. The bill also clarifies that states must follow these notification requirements.
