Bill overview
This bill, the TICKET Act, aims to increase transparency in the sale of event tickets. It requires ticket sellers, both primary and on the secondary market, to clearly display the total ticket price and break down all associated fees – such as service fees, delivery fees, and taxes – upfront during the purchase process. The bill also mandates that sellers offering tickets they don't actually possess must disclose this fact before a customer selects to buy. The Federal Trade Commission will be responsible for enforcing these new rules.
