Bill overview
The Government Service Delivery Improvement Act aims to improve how the federal government provides services to citizens, businesses, and organizations. It establishes a lead role within the Office of Management and Budget to coordinate government-wide efforts and sets standards for agencies to follow. Each executive branch agency must also designate a lead official to improve their own service delivery and build trust with the public. The bill also directs the Government Accountability Office to assess the law's effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
