Bill overview
This bill requires the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to regularly report to Congress on the progress of a national plan to switch to fluorine-free firefighting foam at airports. These reports will assess the FAA’s efforts to provide guidance to Part 139 airports and other airports on the use of this safer foam, as well as to military and defense agencies. The reports must also include timelines for policy releases and best practices for decontamination.
