Bill overview
The VA WEB Act requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to establish a system to actively monitor its main website for potential problems or ‘adverse events.’ This system would track website traffic, user submissions, software updates, and other factors to identify issues that could negatively impact veterans accessing benefits. The Secretary must report on significant adverse events to Congress and develop a strategy to reduce the occurrence of such events through improved testing.
