Bill overview
This bill authorizes the Secretary of State to create a U.S.-ASEAN Center in the United States. The center would support and strengthen economic, cultural, and people-to-people ties between the United States and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). It would achieve this through grants, trade facilitation, educational programs, and other activities deemed necessary by the Secretary of State. The center’s operations would be funded through existing appropriations to the Secretary of State.
