The SPEAK Act of 2024 establishes a task force to improve access to health care information technology for people who don't speak English fluently. This task force will assess barriers to telehealth and other digital health services for this population and recommend ways to overcome them, such as improving technology design and integrating language services. The Department of Health and Human Services will create a website sharing best practices for connecting these patients with telehealth.
