The Have You Served Act aims to increase awareness among human services professionals and local governments about veterans’ needs by providing grants for ‘Ask the Question Campaigns.’ These campaigns will train professionals to inquire about military service and connect veterans with relevant resources from the Department of Veterans Affairs and other service providers. The bill also directs the VA to provide technical assistance to grant recipients and encourages federal agencies to implement similar campaigns within their programs.
