Bill overview
This bill directs the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to conduct a comprehensive study of menopause care provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs to women veterans. The study will examine the quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of these services, as well as the Department’s efforts to educate veterans about available options. Based on the GAO’s findings, the Department of Veterans Affairs must then develop and submit a strategic plan to improve menopause care for veterans.
