Bill overview
This bill, the Lowering Energy Costs for Manufactured Homeowners Act, creates a refundable tax credit to help homeowners pay for adding skirting to their manufactured homes. The credit is 20% of the cost of the skirting, up to a maximum of $500. This credit is available to homeowners who use their manufactured home as their primary residence and whose modified adjusted gross income is below $150,000 (or $300,000 for joint filers).
