Bill overview
This bill reauthorizes the Global Fragility Act of 2019, which aims to prevent and stabilize fragile states and regions around the world. It strengthens the process for coordinating U.S. diplomatic, development, and security efforts in these areas by requiring an annual meeting of key government officials to assess alignment and identify improvements. The bill also extends the authorization periods for the Prevention and Stabilization Fund and the Complex Crises Fund, and allows the Economic Support Fund to be used for monitoring and evaluation activities related to the Global Fragility Strategy.
