Bill overview
The Promoting Resources to Expand Vaccination, Education and New Treatments for HPV Cancers Act of 2023 aims to increase awareness and vaccination rates for the HPV vaccine, particularly among males and in underserved communities. The bill directs the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to launch a national campaign to combat misinformation and promote vaccination. It also reauthorizes funding for the Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program through 2028, with increased appropriations, and requires the CDC to consult with various organizations to develop effective strategies for increasing HPV vaccination rates.
