Bill overview
The Safeguarding Our Supply Chains Act establishes a Supply Chain Crime Coordination Center within Homeland Security Investigations to collect data and identify areas of high supply chain crime. It also creates a Supply Chain Fraud and Theft Task Force, comprised of federal, state, local, and international law enforcement, to address organized theft, fraud, and related violence across the rail, motor carrier, and intermodal systems. The Task Force will focus on collaboration, information sharing, and tracking trends to disrupt criminal activity and protect the U.S. economy and security.
