Bill overview
The Pathways to Policing Act authorizes grants to states, local governments, and law enforcement agencies to support recruitment efforts and expand Pathways to Policing programs. These programs aim to encourage candidates, particularly those from underrepresented communities or with non-traditional backgrounds, to pursue careers in law enforcement. The bill also directs the Attorney General to develop and implement a nationwide marketing and recruitment campaign to bolster law enforcement recruitment efforts, with input from various stakeholders.
