Bill overview
The Made in the U.S.A. Act creates a tax credit for individual taxpayers who purchase qualifying products made in the United States. Eligible taxpayers with incomes under $125,000 (or $250,000 for joint returns) can receive up to 30% of the purchase price, capped at $2,500 per year, for eligible goods. Certain items like firearms, luxury goods, and food are excluded, and the credit is increased to $1,000 for energy-efficient or climate resilience products.
