The Biking Instruction, Knowledge, and Education Act of 2024 (BIKE Act) allows states to use federal grant funds to provide on-bicycle education programs, particularly for elementary and secondary school students. The bill directs the Secretary of Transportation to revise existing pedestrian and bicycle safety guidelines to promote bicycling education and safety. It also requires the Secretary to consult with educators and disseminate updated curriculum materials to state educational agencies.
