Bill overview
The Voter Choice Act amends the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to support states and local governments that want to switch to ranked choice voting. It creates a program where the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) will provide technical assistance and grants to help with the transition, including equipment, ballot design, and voter education. The bill also authorizes $40 million in funding for fiscal year 2025 to support these efforts.
