Bill overview
This bill, the Time of Service Act, changes the rules for veterans using educational benefits from the Post-9/11 GI Bill. Currently, veterans discharged after January 1, 2001, had a limited time to use their educational benefits. This legislation removes that time limit, allowing veterans to use their benefits at any time during their lifetime, regardless of their discharge date. It simplifies the process for veterans accessing these educational resources.
