Bill overview
The Booster Seat Safety Act aims to improve the safety of booster seats used by children in vehicles. It requires clearer labeling on booster seats, specifying the minimum age and weight a child should be before using them, as well as recommended height limits. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) will establish minimum height recommendations, develop side-impact crash testing standards, and conduct a study on tether systems to enhance child safety.
