Bill overview
This bill expands the USDA’s Circuit Rider Program to provide cybersecurity assistance to rural water systems with fewer than 10,000 customers. The program will help these systems assess their vulnerability to cyber threats and develop plans and technologies to protect their infrastructure. It also reauthorizes the Circuit Rider Program for five years, through fiscal year 2028, with increased funding to support cybersecurity efforts. This aims to protect critical water resources from potential cyberattacks.
