The Time to Choose Act of 2024 aims to prevent conflicts of interest between U.S. government contractors and consulting firms that also work for the People’s Republic of China. It prohibits federal agencies from contracting with firms that simultaneously provide services to both the U.S. and China, and establishes a process for the Federal Acquisition Regulatory Council to update regulations to address this issue. The bill also includes penalties for false certifications and intentional misrepresentation of contracts with Chinese entities.
