Bill overview
This bill establishes the Historic Greenwood District—Black Wall Street National Monument in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as part of the National Park System. The monument will preserve and interpret the history of Black Wall Street, the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921, and their significance to Oklahoma and the United States. The Department of the Interior can acquire land for the monument through donation, purchase, or exchange, and will work with public and private entities to provide educational resources. A commission composed of descendants and preservation experts will advise the Secretary on monument management and development.
