Bill overview
This bill, the All-American Flag Act, requires the U.S. Federal Government to purchase American-made flags. Agencies can only use flags manufactured entirely within the United States using domestically grown or produced materials, with some exceptions for procurement challenges or specific situations. Manufacturers must maintain records for five years verifying the domestic origin of materials used in their flags, and the President can waive the requirement if it conflicts with trade agreements. The law takes effect 180 days after enactment.
