Ally’s Act requires private health insurance plans to cover a broader range of hearing devices and related services, including auditory implants, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs. The bill ensures that financial requirements and treatment limitations for these services are no more restrictive than those for other medical treatments. Importantly, insurance companies cannot deny coverage or limit benefits based on a review of whether the hearing device is medically necessary.
