Bill overview
The One Door to Work Act allows states to apply for a five-year grant to implement innovative workforce development programs. This grant, funded through existing federal programs, would be consolidated and distributed to the state, local areas, or consortiums, allowing them to test new approaches to help jobseekers, employers, and taxpayers. The bill waives certain regulatory requirements for participating states and local areas during the demonstration period, and establishes performance accountability measures to ensure effective program implementation.
