Bill overview
This bill, the PRINTS Act, aims to combat human trafficking by requiring U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to collect fingerprints from noncitizen minors suspected of being victims of trafficking upon entry into the United States. It also establishes criminal penalties for adults who use unrelated minors to gain entry into the country and mandates the reporting of data on these cases to Congress and the public. The legislation seeks to improve identification and prosecution of traffickers and provide better support for identified victims.
