This bill, the SAFE Contracting Act, requires all federal contractors and subcontractors to enroll in and maintain compliance with the E-Verify program, which tracks employment eligibility. Contractors must certify their enrollment and compliance in bids and proposals, and executive agencies must verify this information before awarding contracts.
