Bill overview
This bill authorizes NASA to provide financial assistance to the town of Chincoteague, Virginia, to remove and replace contaminated drinking water wells located on NASA property. These wells have been affected by PFAS contamination from firefighting foam used at the Wallops Flight Facility. The agreement will cover the costs of removing the existing wells and establishing new wells on land owned or controlled by the town. NASA must submit details of the agreement to Congress.
