Bill overview
The LEOSA Reform Act amends existing federal law to clarify and expand the ability for certain law enforcement officers to carry concealed firearms. Specifically, it allows active and retired law enforcement officers authorized to carry under federal law to carry firearms in school zones and across state lines, and it permits them to carry firearms in national parks and certain federal facilities open to the public. The bill also allows states to adjust the requirements for retired officers to maintain their concealed carry permits.
