Bill overview
This bill designates July 11th as National Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Srebrenica Genocide. It recognizes the horrific events of 1995, when more than 8,000 Bosniaks were killed in Srebrenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a genocide. The bill encourages remembrance, condemnation of denial, and efforts to promote reconciliation and respect for human rights in the region. It also calls on the international community to continue supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina’s stability and Euro-Atlantic integration.
