Bill overview
This bill clarifies that convictions for kidnapping and certain sexual abuse offenses will now be considered grounds for denying someone entry into the United States or for deportation. Currently, other crimes involving moral turpitude can lead to these same outcomes, but this legislation specifically adds kidnapping and sexual abuse to the list of offenses that trigger inadmissibility and deportation. The aim of this legislation is to strengthen immigration enforcement by preventing individuals convicted of these serious crimes from entering or remaining in the country.
