This resolution welcomes Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio to the United States. The resolution also (1) reaffirms the strong and long-standing partnership between the governments of the United States and Japan, (2) supports efforts to build a more capable and modernized alliance to address regional and global security challenges, and (3) reaffirms the commitment of the United States to the defense of Japan under Article V of the U.S.-Japan Security Treaty.
