Overview
This bill requires data center developers in New Jersey to provide detailed information to local elected officials and the public at least 180 days before submitting preliminary site plans for approval. Developers must disclose the location, estimated costs, and environmental impact of the data center, as well as engage with the public through press releases and signage. The bill also restricts the use of non-disclosure agreements during the planning process and mandates an independent environmental impact analysis funded by the developer.
