Overview
This bill expands the role of the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute and directs $3 million from the Department of Children and Families to the Department of Human Services. Specifically, it aims to establish a data dashboard to improve access and quality of pediatric mental health care. The Institute will create a visual journey map of the process for families to access care, identify eligibility rules, and provide policy recommendations for improvement. The dashboard will then be maintained by the Department of Human Services, with support from the Institute, to provide transparent data on the children’s behavioral health system.
