Overview
This bill prohibits remote work for employees of the State of New Jersey and for employees of any local government operating under the ‘Civil Service Act.’ It effectively ends the existing pilot program allowing some state employees to work remotely. The bill also restricts the Civil Service Commission from creating rules that would allow remote work arrangements.
