Overview
This bill limits the brightness of motor vehicle headlamps in New Jersey. Specifically, it sets a maximum brightness of 2,513 lumens for each headlamp. The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission will not register vehicles with headlamps exceeding this limit, with exceptions for vehicles already registered or available for sale at the time the law takes effect. The goal is to reduce glare and improve nighttime visibility for other drivers.
