This bill aims to make it easier for New Jersey residents who qualify to receive assistance with their utility bills. It requires utility companies and nonprofit organizations that run these programs to automatically enroll eligible households. The Department of Community Affairs (DCA) will work with these organizations to identify those who qualify and ensure they are enrolled in assistance programs.
