This bill makes revisions to New Jersey’s laws governing alcoholic beverage licensing. It clarifies rules for craft alcoholic beverage manufacturers, allowing them to coordinate with food vendors, sell snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, and sell chilled packaged goods. The bill also expands the privileges of farm brewery license holders, permitting them to sell products on and off-premises, distribute to wholesalers and retailers, and maintain a warehouse, with a requirement that malt beverages contain at least 51% locally sourced ingredients. Finally, it modifies procedures for renewing inactive retail licenses and transferring them between municipalities, including expanding the definition of a ‘shopping mall’ to encompass office spaces within the same complex.
