Overview
This bill allows certain New Jersey municipalities with established arts and culture trust funds to temporarily use funds from their Open Space, Recreation, Floodplain Protection, Farmland, and Historic Preservation Trust Fund. Specifically, it permits the transfer of unspent funds deposited into the trust fund before fiscal year 2027 to the municipality’s general operating budget. This transfer is limited to fiscal year 2027 and is contingent on the municipality having a dedicated arts and culture trust fund. The bill does not require a fiscal impact assessment.
