Overview
This bill aims to regulate short-term rentals in New Jersey by requiring the owner or an agent of a transient accommodation to be present during the rental period, unless the stay is over 30 days or a written agreement allows otherwise. It also establishes a limit of one short-term rental agreement at a time for each property. Violations of these rules will result in a $1,000 civil penalty.
