Overview
This bill changes the rules for Medicaid coverage of private duty nursing services in New Jersey. Currently, individuals 21 and older receiving these services are limited to 16 hours of nursing care per day. This legislation removes that 16-hour limit, allowing eligible individuals to receive up to 24 hours of nursing care daily if their medical needs require it. The state will need to seek federal approval to implement these changes.
