Overview
This bill requires inspections for pest infestations before certain building demolitions in New Jersey. Specifically, either a health officer or a certified pesticide applicator must inspect the building to be demolished and certify that it doesn't have a ‘severe pest presence’ that could spread to nearby buildings. The bill establishes procedures for these inspections, including timing and certification requirements, and places the cost of these inspections on the demolition applicant.
