Overview
This bill aims to allow Native Americans who receive assistance through the Indian Health Service (IHS) to also contribute to and benefit from Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). Currently, individuals receiving care through the IHS may be restricted from using HSAs. This legislation modifies the Internal Revenue Code to specifically allow these individuals to qualify for HSA benefits. The changes will take effect starting in 2025.
