Bill overview
This bill directs the Department of Commerce to conduct a study examining the feasibility of manufacturing products crucial to the nation’s critical infrastructure within the United States. The study will identify products currently being imported due to manufacturing shortages, analyze the costs and benefits of domestic production, and assess the potential for manufacturing in rural and industrial areas.
