Overview
This bill changes the timeline for notifying the Purchased/Referred Care (PRC) program about emergency medical care received outside of Indian Health Service facilities. Currently, patients must notify the PRC within 72 hours of receiving care. This bill extends that deadline to 15 days. However, the changes do not apply to elderly or disabled individuals, who still need to notify the PRC within 30 days.
